Here below, you will find a small description of the Flight Operations Department and a brief description of the jobs linked to it. 
Please be aware that this represents a short outline of the different functions within TNT Airways in order to give a general idea of our numerous activity areas.

The Flight Operations Department

The Flight Operations are subdivided in 4 main areas of activities.

In the AOC & Traffic Rights, the AOC team is in charge of the production / distribution of the Operational Manuals. They are responsible for the company’s traffic rights and are the first contact with the Belgian Authorities.
The crewing is subdivided in 3 divisions: the rostering deals with the planning of the crewmembers rosters; the interline assures booking of every crew transportation needed to achieve on-time operations; the crewing is responsible of the day to day crewing tasks.
The dispatch cares for all the flight documents, routes, fuel orders and performances.
The crew training and administration is in charge of the recruitment of the pilots and the training of every flight crewmembers (simulator sessions, ground courses).

Crewing – Interline Officer

The Crewing Officer follows-up the Flight Crew rosters on a daily basis assuring that the Company’s flight programme is crewed according to BCAA flight time limitations and Company requirements and organises ground transportation for TNT Airways flight crews. He/she is flexible, teamwork minded and stress resistant (shifts 24 hours a day).

Dispatch Officer

The Dispatch Officer maintains a continuous and accurate picture of the position and state of all aeroplanes, comparing the current situation to the pre-planned schedule and ensures that the movements of the TNT Airways fleet are recorded on the Flight Display System in order to assure a safe and efficient operation. He/she is expected to resolve problems and must be ready to work irregular hours 24/7. A Flight Dispatcher license is an asset. 

Rostering Officer

The main mission of the Rostering Officer is to issue optimised Flight Crew rosters in a timely manner and in accordance with the BCAA regulations and company requirements. He/she also provides Flight operations management with all relevant reports and statistics. He/she has got both problem solving and good mathematical and analytical skills, has experience in a crewing or airline environment and is flexible. 

Support – AOC Officer

The Support Officer coordinates the department in its daily tasks of publication and distribution of company manuals. Moreover, he/she secures various permits from national (AOC commercial license) and international (traffic rights, over flight clearance) regulators. He/she knows Belgian Air Law as well as aircraft performance, is stress-resistant and has a high standard of self-motivation to meet targets and time-scales. 

Aero-political - Affairs Manager

Able to lead others positively and displaying interpersonal skills, the Affairs Manager represents, defends, coordinates, supervises and manages all aero-political related activities (operational, legal and commercial). Available, willing to travel extensively and work non-routine hours, he/she has a practical knowledge of Belgian legislation (Air Law), IATA and ICAO. JAP OPS Courses required.
