Here below, you will find a brief description of the functions linked to the Management of the airline. Please, be aware that this represents a short outline fo the different functions within TNT Airways in order to give a general idea of our numerous activity areas.

Management

Chief Pilot

Member of the operational management team, the Chief Pilot is responsible for a fleet of aeroplanes of a defined type. Among his duties, he/she supervises the flight operations of his fleet to pass to the FO Director important information so as to ensure  safe, efficient, timely and cost effective flight operations. In addition, he/she performs post-flight analyses, motivates and develops the flight crew of his sector and at last, assists the FO Director about different matters.

Technical Department (Technical Director)

With the view to guarantee an acceptable level of safety, the function of the Technical Director as nominated postholder JAR-OPS1 is to define, co-ordinate and manage both the maintenance and the airworthiness of the whole fleet in line with the BCCA and company requirements. He/she holds an engineering degree of theoretical ATPL and has a good knowledge both of AA/NAA & JAR regulations.

Flight Operations (FO Director)

Able to listen to subordinators and negotiate calmly in every situation, the Flight Operations Director manages, organises and develops every Flight Operations related subject in order to ensure the highest possible degree of safety, economy and punctuality. He/she is/has been an active line pilot with the status of commander. He/she is also flexible to travel and work at night when required.

Ground Operations (GO Director)

With a proven experience in a stressful and time-sensitive environment, the Ground Operations Director ensures actively that all ground handling activities for TNT Airways aircraft are operating on behalf of TNT Airways and are contracted in a safe manner in line with the company’s standards. Acceptable to the BCAA, he/she is in fully in charge of TAY Airport Services (profit centre) and has an excellent command both in French and in English.

Administration (Human Resources Manager)

The Human Resources Manager takes part to the HR strategies development.  He/she implements HR procedures, facilitates social climate and people development in order to guarantee transparency and to meet results expected by the company. Fluent in English and French, he/she knows in depth the Belgian social legislation.
