TNT believes that the service will allow airlines that only operate into one or two European airports from outside Europe to extend their service to existing customers, as well as attract new business as a result of an extended network. The service also provides shippers with the opportunity to offer next day deliveries to their customers and thus compete with integrators.
Not only is Air Cargo Service a value - added service but it is also a value for money service. Charges are based on the type of cargo carried - an entire ULD or loose loaded cargo as well as on a route basis to and from Liege.
Tracking
TNT's Air Cargo Service utilises advanced technology to continuously monitor the cargo carried by its air fleet. TNT readily knows, any time, pallet space availability so that it can calculate loose or excess capacity on any of its BAe146's, B737's, A300's and B747's.
